Summary
Independently develop strategic, complex, and customized new group benefit design requests in the ESI system. Analyze and implement complex benefit design changes or additions. Participate in initial client meetings regarding implementation and act as a consultant on benefit design. Provide consultative support to internal and external clients. Provide mentoring and training to less experienced team members. Assist with resolving more complex issues and systems issues. Assist with work distribution.
Responsibilities
* Independently develop strategic, complex, and customized new group benefit design requests in the ESI system. Analyze and implement complex benefit design changes or additions. * Responsible for new client implementations in CBA and act as a consultant on benefit design. Provide timely and accurate information to other internal departments or clients regarding operational issues and benefit plan implementations. * Serve as a primary contact for a set of clients on benefit design questions. Provide consultative support and analysis to internal and external clients by researching and resolving of benefit design issues. * Verify and ensure accuracy of benefit setup information completed by other analysts. Provide mentoring, coaching and correction for errors found. Identify and communicate repetitive problems/trends to appropriate area. * Provide assistance to team members with issues needing technical expertise and client specific plan interpretation. Provide on-the-job training for new or existing team members. * Mentor team members to improve their understanding and skills. * Perform testing of system setup before implementation and within contractual timeframe agreements. Test all new, manual, or non-standard setups. * Special projects as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree strongly preferred * Minimum of 2 years of experience in Client and Benefit Administration and benefit setup * Thorough knowledge of benefit design, processes, and procedures * Thorough knowledge of ESI systems * Knowledge of PBM /Managed Care/ Pharmaceutical industry and ESI products and services * Excellent written and oral communication skills along with demonstrated presentation skills * Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills * PC skills including Microsoft Office and email * Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions * Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions * Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines * Strong customer service focus * Demonstrated ability to work with other departments/ teams to resolve issues * Willingness to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times * Willingness to travel
