Summary
Responsible for managing the community investment program for Enbridge U.S. and Gas Pipelines & Processing (GPP), managing the budget for the Liquids Pipelines U.S. community investment activities, and coordination of CSR information submissions. The community investment program includes initiatives in support of key areas strategic to the business and in support of local communities near Enbridge pipelines, the Volunteers in Partnership (VIP) program and other employee volunteer opportunities, Safe Community grant program for emergency responders. This role will present updates to the executive leadership team in Houston, and will work closely with operations managers across the GPP system. The position is responsible for community investment decisions and for ensuring alignment with enterprise community investment strategy.
Responsibilities
* **Community Investment:** Leads implementation of the U.S. Community Investment program, which includes corporate donations and volunteer and emergency responder grant programs. Oversees development of the community investment budget for GPP and U.S. Corporate/Enbridge U.S. Oversees implementation of the Safe Community, VIP and other external and internal community and employee involvement programs. * **United Way Campaign:** Supports annual UW Campaign Chairs through planning process and two-week campaign in Houston office. Leads coordination with United Way staff. Provides support to the Texas field offices in their respective United Way campaign efforts. * **Communications/Social Media:** Will work closely with Internal Communications to promote community investment activities to employees through established internal channels, and with the Media and Communications teams to promote activities and grant opportunities to external audiences through media and social media/digital channels. * **Branding:** Responsible for ensuring materials, presentations and other materials adhere to branding guidelines. * **Advertising:** Will work closely with Brand & Creative Services to identify advertising opportunities related to the community investment program.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree in public affairs, communications or related field. - A minimum of 4 years of experience in community investment programs with escalating levels of experience, public relations and/or communications field, preferably in the energy or transportation industry. - Strong communications skills and knowledge. - Strong interpersonal skills, including consultation, negotiation, and facilitation. - Project management skills working with budgets and outside consultants. - Able to deal with a variety of external and internal disciplines and senior management - Able to manage multiple projects at once, under deadline pressure. - Salary and job level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. - Share our core values of Integrity, Safety and Respect.
