Summary
The Sales Planning Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and managing the strategy, resources and capabilities of Annual Integrated Customer Business Planning for specific Edgewell Personal Care brands or channels. Annual Integrated Customer Business Planning coordinates the capabilities and resources of Sales, Marketing, Finance and outside suppliers (e.g. agencies, consultants, etc.) to achieve Edgewell Personal Care’s business goals of profit, volume and share for specific brands and/or channels.
Responsibilities
* **Develop & Manage Annual Integrated Customer Business Planning:** Manage the development and on-going monitoring/management of the integrated customer business planning process to meet Edgewell Personal Care's brand and/or customer/channel growth strategies and objectives. Monitor results to ensure that the plans and program implementation incorporate programs that align and attain the company's business goals for profit, volume, and share. * **Recommend Performance Drivers Approach:** Develop a recommended performance drivers approach with focus on the 4P's for the assigned brand for use by Sales in developing their customer's business plans. Gain agreement to and allocate funding required to implement the recommended strategy and programs. * **Identify Customer Development Capabilities:** Use the Integrated Customer Business Planning Process to identify the customer development capabilities required to achieve Edgewell Personal Care's brand and/or customer/channel business goals and objectives. Secure cross-functional agreement and commitment to the identified capabilities – co-marketing, category management, special packs, retail merchandising, etc. * **Manage Communication Process:** Manage a structured inter-functional communication and investment process that provides factual timely and actionable inter-functional decisions and customer communication. Ensure timely response to customer business needs and implementation timing in the marketplace. Ensure that communication feeds the S&OP; Process and financial forecast updates allowing the evaluation of goal attainment for profit, volume and share by brand and/or channel/customer. * **Evaluate Program Performance:** Develop approaches and metrics to evaluate profit, volume and share and the 4P's. Ensure timely learning and communicate adjustments that maximize Edgewell Personal Care brand and/or channel business results. Conduct regular evaluations of the channel and/or brand performance. * **Lead Edgewell Personal Care Annual Integrated Customer Business Planning Communication:** Ensure the effective and actionable communication of Edgewell Personal Care's Integrated Customer Business Planning Process to appropriate Edgewell Personal Care Functions - Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, etc. – and provide Sales with the tools to communicate this information to the customer in a timely and actionable manner.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 3 to 4 years customer facing Sales and/or Category Management experience * BA/BS required, Marketing/Business Administration * Outstanding written & verbal communication skills * Developing & delivering compelling selling stories / presentations * Relationship building * Project Management / Prioritization **Working Relationships & Environment** * Sales – Primary * Customer Category Manager/Buyer - Primary * Sales Planning, Brand Marketing, & Retail – Secondary * Reports to Leader, Category Development * Travel Requirements (up to 20%)
