Summary
As Sales Director, Grocery, you will grow The Honest Company’s brand share in the grocery channel nationwide with the goal of increasing the grocery channel’s contribution to Honest’s total gross margin. Our ideal candidate has experience selling nationally to large accounts with a leading CPG brand or experience developing a smaller brand or business into category or segment leadership. Responsibilities
**What you’ll do:** * Establish outstanding customer relationships that increase speed to market opportunities and improve the quality of support we receive in programming and planning * Hire, train, set goals, and monitor performance of direct reports * Identify high potential revenue opportunities through market and customer profiling * Leverage broker partners to grow and manage business * Consistently meet/exceed sales objectives as well as market share assigned to Grocery * Report back to internal stakeholder groups on competitive activity, retailer requests and broker feedback * Coordinate with internal stakeholder teams and the Customer Planning & Strategy team on grocery specific programs to ensure they are delivered on time and budget * Lead annual joint business planning and category review process * Execute retail distribution, pricing, shelving and promotional plans * Minimize out-of-stocks and manage appropriate replenishment requirements * Develop quarterly business reviews and performance analysis * Attend regional, national trade shows, sales meetings and selected consumer events

You will enthusiastically take on other assignments as needed to support your team! **What you’ll need:** * Bachelor’s degree * 5+ years of experience selling in the region, channel or customer * 5+ years at a national account level for a branded, value added CPG company * Extensive key account management experience * Demonstrated record of achievement throughout selling career * Strong understanding of P&L management, gross margin and pricing structures, impact of discounting and trade terms * Proficiency with MS Office * Exceptional written and oral communication skills * Ability to forge effective relationships from a remote location * Strong understanding and utilization of category management * Experience utilizing syndicated data sources including SPINS, Nielsen and IRI
