Summary
EDENS Marketing plays an important role in the Company’s purpose of enriching communities. Through design, communication and innovation, we deliver high-touch collateral using print and digital brochures, videos, DPS lookbooks, and digital platforms for both external and internal audiences. The Communications Manager role will be an integral member of a talented team focused on telling EDENS’ unique stories across multiple channels. Assignments and responsibilities vary daily but are always focused on developing compelling narrative content. This is a great opportunity for a versatile, talented generalist who wants to hone media skills while working on some of the most interesting and news-making properties across several markets – Boston, DC, Southeast, Florida, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic, integrated corporate communications that aligns EDENS’ key messages, projects, events and corporate objectives. - Manage internal/external communications, working with executive management in the development and administration of these programs - Draft copy and narrative content for print and digital platforms - Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Design Teams to ensure communication is consistent and streamlined - Research, develop and deliver strategic content for articles, speeches and thought pieces. - Support media outreach efforts and collaborate with external agencies to elevate EDENS’ profile; - Work with external PR agency to secure interviews, opinion editorials and other relevant content placed in target publications. - Support internal communications initiatives to drive a positive corporate culture and employee engagement - Create strategic content and direction for EDENS corporate website - Perform market research to identify and track retailer trends, competitor news and market-specific data for the Company’s target markets. - Establish and maintain media contacts and relationships. - Understand the flow of media relations, schedule interviews and follow-up in a timely manner with reporters and editors. - Help plan and execute company-wide special events
Ideal Candidate
**Technology Requirements** - Experience in multiple social media outlets - Familiarity with basic web administration/maintenance - Proficient to expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Experience with press tools (Cision) **Requirements** - Clear, compelling communicator with extensive resume of published material - Creative, passionate, fun and flexible professional - Highly organized and ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines - Ability to work independently - Proven leadership skills - Positivity in the face of chaos - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism or related field; graduate degree preferred
