Summary
The Catering Manager is part of a small, highly collaborative team working together to quickly grow EAT Club's presence in Southern California. You will be responsible for supporting our growing family-style catering offering and providing excellent customer service. You must be outgoing, personable and detail oriented and enjoy working with a diverse range of restaurant and client partners to build strong relationships and deliver enticing menus.
Responsibilities
* Delivering 5-star service – You will be responsive to client needs, both externally and internally. You will be responsible for the successful execution of all catering events. You will manage the ordering process, train service staff, monitor food quality and portioning and ensure timely delivery and proper set up. * Building strong relationships with high quality partners – Working in conjunction with Restaurant Sales and Account Management, you will identify priorities for partner and menu expansion and develop new offerings across a wide range of cuisines. You will visit restaurants and clients as needed. * Curating menus – You will stay on top of food trends and develop menus that fulfill customer needs. You will ensure we are adding the most appealing items to our menus and that those items meet dietary needs and preferences. You will produce and enhance materials to market our program to clients. * Creating and maintaining accurate records - You will produce timely pricing quotes, maintain records of each event with suggestions for improvement and ensure clients are properly invoiced and restaurants are paid in an efficient and timely manner. * General management and communication – You will manage to margin goals, track catering revenue and forecasts and finalize monthly reports. You will ensure team members are properly informed and prepared to execute all catering in times of absence. You will manage and maintain inventory of catering supplies and implement operational improvements with partners and staff as needed. You will maintain excellent communication with account management, sales and operations teams.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree holder with 2+ years of experience managing catering events * Friendly, charismatic and collaborative and enjoys meeting and working with new people * Extremely detail oriented and possesses top-notch organizational skills * An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills * Results driven, self-motivated and enjoys working in a fast-paced and evolving team environment * An equal opportunity eater with a diverse palate who is knowledgeable of the local culinary scene * Passionate about food, keeping up with food trends and delivering exceptional customer service without being a food snob * Proficient with word processing and spread sheet applications. * Experienced in the restaurant or hospitality industries
