Summary
In conjunction with the business plan developed in the strategic planning process and with other key functional executives, the Director, will provide leadership in the following areas denoted below. This Director will be expected to strategically and tactically drive Dolby’s end-to-end Partner Operations model to support the Global Partner Ecosystem, as well as maintain a deep understanding of competitive conditions, industry practices, market opportunities, and customer requirements. Partners include Conference Service Providers (CSPs) and Channel (Resellers and Distributors). The Director will need to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships, work closely and cross-collaboratively with Dolby executives and key stakeholders within the Communications Business Groups, Sales, Sales & Business Operations, Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance, IT, and Legal.
Responsibilities
* Operational Planning and Execution: Understand strategic goals of the Dolby Voice business. Define operational plans and manage execution in conjunction with the Business Group and key stakeholders to support achievement of those goals. * Ensure the Operations effectively supports all new business models (e.g. two-tier distribution) * Develop and implement short and long range objectives and policies to support the Dolby Voice business that enhance & sustain industry standards and best practices. * GTM and Product Lifecycle Management: Ensure the operations supports new product, new releases, etc. * Contribute as the Sales and Partner operations stakeholder in relevant PLM Exit reviews. * Contribute to GTM programs and execute on Operations deliverables. * Day-to-Day Operations: Support Dolby Business Groups and Partner Sales in forecasting, pipeline management, S&OP, order management, inventory management, invoicing, support and returns. * Ensure proper staffing is hired and trained to deliver a solid customer experience. * Management of the day to day execution of the Voice business. * Global Sales and Support Process and Tools: Ongoing management and maintenance of processes and tools to support the new business and/or market requirements. * Develop and/or approve policy changes and process changes. * Update systems, as needed, focusing on scalability and gaining efficiencies **Partner Operations** * (Partners include Conference Service Providers (CSPs) and Channel (Resellers and Distributors) * Establish a strong relationship with each Partner’s Operations team and be the primary contact for Operations. * Active member of the various Partner account teams as the Operations lead * For established partners continue to support expansion into new markets, launching new products, and changes to the Operations * Participate in commercial discussions and decisions related to Operations commitments * Participate in regular (quarterly/monthly) account reviews * Ensure Operations commitments are being met, raise issues and drive solutions (e.g. SLAs) * Primary escalation point for Partner Operations (e.g. sales orders, RMA, reporting, etc.) * Approve training programs and deliver training to Partners * Partner Onboarding: Ensure that as new partners are approved, partner requirements are understood and a cohesive onboarding plan is developed that aligns to the overall Partner Ecosystem. * Actively engage in new partner onboarding * Ensure each partner and its corresponding E2E sales, marketing, and support operations model is integrated into the existing Partner Ecosystem, leveraging applicable infrastructure (process, system, policy) and partner capability (e.g. sales, distribution) * Support the Sales team in the commercial discussions as the Operations expert * E2E Partner Operations Model: Develop, implement, and manage the Operations model to support the Dolby Voice Partner ecosystem in collaboration with the Business Group, Sales, and key stakeholders. Be a key contributor to overall attainment of the Dolby Voice business goals and overall customer success. * Continually optimize partner operations to remove GTM barriers, reduce costs and increase efficiencies. **Customer Experience:** * Define the customer experience roadmap with the Business Groups and key stakeholders that supports the business goals. * Ensure successful execution for the Operations focused items including processes and systems (e.g. Dolby Customer, www.dolby.com, etc.) * Ensure success metrics are agreed upon and reported * Monitor achievement of these metrics and address gaps
