Summary
Dell is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Software Inside Sales Engineer in Round Rock, Tx. As a Software Inside Sales Engineer you would be supporting the ongoing acquisition of our customer community in North America. Windows Server Management key focus areas are Management, Administration, Migration, Governance, Risk and Compliance for Microsoft Applications and operating systems.
Responsibilities
* Leads with a hands on approach for sales opportunities that include proof of concepts, architecture calls and installation of AppAssure solution in order to gain technical acceptance from the customer and drive sales revenue * Lead technical discussions with customers and prospective customers during various phases of the sales cycle * Participate in conference calls and demos with Inside Sales Representatives, customers , and prospective customers during the sales process * Provide product feedback to Product Marketing and Management teams * Working with various resources across presales, post sales and the business unit to build product awareness - Working with support on any solution escalations to resolution * Maintains demonstrable environments, updating with latest releases and running patches and fixes. * Work with team to provide options for environmental design (updates, new roll outs, reconfiguration) * Technical expert on the Data Protection Portfolio key technologies * Assists in the qualification and training of junior staff as needed * Mentors less experienced architects/engineers
Ideal Candidate
* 6-8 year(s) of IT expertise and knowledge of solutions development, components and architectures * 6-8 years of experience in pre-sales or related field * Specific knowledge of the backup and recovery market * Strong technical problem solving skills * Experience in 2 or more of the following: * Windows Server and associated applications such as SQL, Exchange, and SharePoint * Virtualization * Networking * Public and Private Clouds * Datacenter Orchestration * Storage (SAN,NAS,DAS) * Backup and Recovery * Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills Preferences: * Windows 2008/2012 administration experience * Working understanding of Active Directory * Strong customer service experience including presentations, problem solving and communication skills * Microsoft Certifications a plus, public speaking a plus * Architect experience within large IT environments is a plus * Undergraduate degree & 2 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 0-1 years relevant experience.
