Summary
The responsibility of the Loss Prevention (LP) Analyst is to develop and analyze data and trends pertaining to shortage, general risk, department statistical performance, and evaluation of programs/tests across all Curacao Divisions. In addition, the LP Analyst is to create department Exception Based Reports and maintain LP department website.
Responsibilities
* Analyze data to develop trend analysis * Manage LP tests/initiatives and develop shortage correction analysis and recommendations in coordination with Inventory and Retail * Manage AR & Cognos reporting process, including generation of ad-hoc reporting (POS Loss Prevention Exception Based Reporting software experience preferred) * Analyze and problem solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of sales, inventory, and system data integrity * Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. * Perform advanced statistical analyses for projects and reports relating to potential asset loss * Create and present quality dashboards for routine management review * Perform data entry, either manually or using other technology, when needed or required * Generate routine and ad-hoc reports as needed * Develop and manage Loss Prevention predictive analytics and shortage barometer & metrics * Update weekly/monthly Loss Prevention reporting and support SVP-LP and Dir-LP in needed analysis/reporting * Manage/Maintain LP website * Coordinate/Collaborate and improve cash control process to reduce cash shortages; ensure store compliance with over/short policies and procedures * Maximize collection of Civil Recoveries and Restitutions from shoplifters and termed associates * Fraud Reporting and Analysis - validate monthly charge backs for trends and analysis to reduce overall sales losses. * Conduct field work to provide improvement recommendations from an LP perspective
Ideal Candidate
* Experience in correlation and trend analysis with the ability to develop conclusions based on the data * Ability to develop comprehensive reports based on business needs * Ability to process sensitive material with tact, professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality * Excellent communication skills - ability to identify and communicate with technical, non-technical, and senior management audiences * Strong interpersonal skills; good follow-up skills * Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities * Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned * Bachelor's Degree in a business related field or equivalent knowledge * Experience in retail operations * Excellent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, POS and website development * Ability to learn other software programs with minimal training * Ability to make solid business decisions, make recommendations and implement necessary changes * Experience in data mining techniques and procedures (usually acquired through use of SQL, SAP, Crystal Reports, VBA, and Tableau experience preferred) * Ability to function in a self-directed work environment
