- Conduct time and motion studies establishing time standards for manufacturing processes with emphasis on productivity improvement, efficiency gains and cycle time reduction.
- Develop and maintain time studies, capacity modeling, Capacity Planning, line balancing and ergonomic information to support a high volume production line. Communicate regularly with management and other functional groups within Wolfspeed to ensure understanding of needs/problems in relation to industrial engineering projects.
- Create equipment layouts to maximize workflow efficiency and improve material handling. Directing/coordinating tool moves and installs.
- Interact with other technical groups throughout Wolfspeed and elsewhere to exchange technical information and remain abreast of new developments in the field.
- Develop, monitor and report production metrics.
- Support of 24/7 manufacturing.
- Creative problem solver. Accustomed to developing creative solutions to new problems.
- Manufacturing experience in a Semiconductor environment is a plus
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and six sigma principles
- Personality: high-level thinker that pays attention to details, organized, hands ON contributor, intelligent, and exceptionally competent.
- IE degree with 2+ yrs operational experience demonstrating skills above
- Self starter; good with interpersonal communication for cross functional team facilitation
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
