Summary
InvestmentNews is seeking a Research Sales Associate to help increase sales for our research and lead generation platforms. This is a new role will that will focus on sales and business development to targeted clients and prospects. Specifically, this role will be charged with selling research products directly to the core InvestmentNews audience of financial advisers, which includes our new InvestmentNews Adviser Research Dashboard. In addition, this role will be charged with selling and providing service to clients in the new InvestmentNews Adviser Center, an integrated print and digital recruiting tool, as well as the suite of InvestmentNews Tech Connect offerings.
Responsibilities
* The ideal candidate for this role will be an entrepreneurial, highly motivated self-starter who can identify and cultivate new relationships – and ultimately convert these relationships into new business opportunities and clients for InvestmentNews. * The individual must be resourceful and demonstrate the ability to understand both the products they are charged with selling, as well as the business needs and objectives of the individuals and companies that InvestmentNews supports. * The ideal candidate must be comfortable making dozens of calls and leading presentations and demos of InvestmentNews research products and offerings. * This position will also be responsible for researching existing and new accounts to identify the most qualified decision-makers and buyers for relevant InvestmentNews research and enterprise offerings. * This is an excellent opportunity to help drive revenue and support several of InvestmentNews’ growth businesses.
Ideal Candidate
* At least three-to-four years of sales experience in media or financial services * Strong in-person, telephone and written communications skills * A proven track record developing new clients and expanding existing books of business * Experience developing presentations for client meetings, proposals and contract * Proven ability to work in a team structure with other sales and marketing professionals to expand overall pipeline and revenues * Proficient with corporate presentation and productivity tools * BA/BS required * Curiosity, enthusiasm and the drive to be a top-performer
