Summary
This role works cross-functionally with a variety of teams, including Delivery Stream teams, Release Trains, Product and Operations. The Agile Program Manager serves as an advocate for the success of their program, ensuring that sequencing and dependencies are monitored and managed, escalating deviations from plans and commitments. The Agile Program Manager facilitates a small team of senior stakeholders (Product Leader, Architectural and Engineering Leader) to define MVP, product readiness considerations, engineering and architectural dependencies and sequencing, etc.
Responsibilities
* Create, execute and track agile program plans * Work in close collaboration with multiple agile teams * Manage cross-team dependencies and facilitate open communication * Create clear visibility into status and progress * Expose and proactively manage risks * Ensure that the team is delivering the right product at the right time * Oversee integration activities, including integration testing * Accountable for successful program outcomes * Monitor and manage program costs
Ideal Candidate
* 8+ years of professional experience, 3+ years managing and leading employees and complex team efforts, * 2+ years experience leading SAFe agile teams, or equivalent program and project management experience on large complex agile projects/programs. * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of agile practices and processes * Demonstrated success running programs that cross teams, companies, technologies, etc. * Demonstrated planning, analytical and organization skills with an ability to manage competing demands. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, mentoring and personnel management skills. * Experience with business support software applications such as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, and Access) required
