Senior Systems Administrator

You're a Systems Administrator - you know how to make systems hum, and feel just as comfortable in a server room as you do at the command line. Counsyl is looking for a Systems Administrator to join the team responsible for architecting and maintaining the infrastructure powering our incredible next-generation, clinical DNA sequencing platform. You'll be building and maintaining a scalable Public and Private Cloud Infrastructure. Here, you will play a key role in our Operations team, help evaluate new technology, automate deployments and design for the future of product research and development!

• Deploy and maintain Linux and Windows Systems in both private and public cloud infrastructure
• Write scripts and leverage configuration management tools to automate deployments
• Work with and support Scientists, Engineers, and Roboticists!
• Design highly available, scalable solutions to support company growth

Technologies you'll use:

• Operating Systems (Ubuntu, Enterprise Linux, Windows)
• Virtualization Platforms (VMWare, Virtualbox, AWS, Vagrant and Docker)
• Storage Solutions (NFS, CIFS, Object-Storage, S3, EBS)
• Scripting Languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell and AWS CLI)

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing Linux operating systems including configuring, analyzing & troubleshooting (Experience with Windows a big plus)
• Experience using configuration management tools and automation
• Experience with hybrid Public and Private Cloud Architecture
• Familiar with AGILE Sprints, ITIL Processes, Atlassian tools and Github
• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience preferred)
