Summary
The Inside Sales Manager will support the company's goals through a range of sales functions and assisting the larger West Coast sales team. This member of the sales team will be primarily responsible for securing the renewal of syndicated contracts not only in advance of their expiration, but also including additional products. Working closely with senior salespeople across the Digital Media-West team, this member of the team will help open renewal conversations early and will help drive the entire process through until contract signature. This person will also carry a smaller list of their own accounts for which they will be responsible for upselling new products and solutions as well as renewing existing business. This role requires deep understanding of comScore’s unique research and measurement services and how they assist leading media companies, marketers and the digital ecosystem. In addition, this position requires a team player who is not afraid to drive conversations with clients while also understanding and respecting the legal and operational framework in which the sales team operates.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for driving the renewal conversations with existing clients of syndicated services * Understand the value proposition and business use of all comScore solutions in order to effectively position additional syndicated services * Work with both account management and sales leaders to renew the clients syndicated contract ahead of schedule * Communicate frequently and openly with clients as well as with internal stakeholders (sales operations, legal etc.) to make the process as quick and painless as possible * Cultivate new relationships within companies to set up in person meetings to discuss the value of the comScore product suite and develop the business relationship * Develop a strong understanding of the client's business and demonstrate how the comScore solutions can assist them to achieve their business goals Uncover and understand the business needs and challenges of prospects; address these through business analysis, recommendations and consultation based on our unique information services and ability to assess markets, customers, competitors and prospects Exemplify comScore's tradition of analytical and client service excellence and industry leadership
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree * 2-5+ years professional experience * Strong understanding of digital ecosystem, data, research and how information can be applied to help clients to achieve their goals. * Direct experience selling digital solutions is a big plus * Experience within the online publisher/media company, digital agency, or market research firm ideal * An ambitious sales professional with a proven track record of success * 2 to 5 years of direct sales experience required with online media sales experience strongly preferred * Relentless work ethic and a desire to go the extra mile * Established contacts and relationships within the industry a strong plus * Flexibility and ability to work fast under tight deadlines and demanding client requirements
