Summary
CBS Interactive is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Legal Department as a Paralegal. This position offers the opportunity to support the Legal Department by preparing, reviewing and negotiating a variety of media and technology agreements. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and is a motivated team player. We are seeking candidates with relevant experience at a large law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Responsibilities
* Draft, review, and negotiate media and technology related agreements including MSA, Statements of work, amendments, non-disclosure agreements, and other standard agreements. * Assist in-house counsel with the review of various agreements, including but not limited to licensing, information technology, Ad Operations, marketing, and media sales for the US and CBS Interactive international subsidiaries. * Manage contract approvals system and maintain company electronic contracts database. * Manage and track communications with different corporate departments. * First point of contact for the sales team contract requests.
Ideal Candidate
* B.A. or B.S. degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. * 3-5 years of transactional paralegal experience at a large law firm or in-house legal department. * Exposure to the Internet, media, and technology industries required. * Ability to read and understand contractual terms and strong experience in redlining and negotiating agreements required. * Must successfully pass a background check. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working on Media, IP and Technology issues preferred. * Experience working with International Sales team a plus. * Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and business judgment. * Excellent organizational and communication skills. * Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, prioritize time-sensitive tasks, and work across organizational and geographic boundaries. * Able to learn and apply new information, skills, and procedures. * Proficiency in Google Apps/GSuite and Salesforce.com preferred.
