Summary
We are currently seeking a Territory Sales Manager who, under the direction of the Area Sales Manager, will train, lead and supervise direct reports in the assigned area(s) and promote Coffee Service products and services offered to increase sales and profits.
Responsibilities
* Conducts safety meetings and promotes safe behaviors and practices in activities such as loading, unloading, stacking, driving, etc. * Meets primarily with key customers (large, complex and/or at risk), assists sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals * Directs sales forecasting activities and reviews/analyzes sales data by location to set performance goals, formulate policy and promote sales * Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements * Performs the following responsibilities: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; meeting regularly with staff; managing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems * Presents information in verbal or written form to staff, management, clients, and/or boards of directors * Progress reports, price quotations, workplace policies, strategic reports and speeches * Develops, implements, and tracks strategic sales plans to accomplish corporate goals on an annual basis * Attends and networks at trade association meetings to promote product and company * Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing and assigning sales territories, quotas, and goals and addresses routing optimization * Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions * Reads, analyzes and interprets financial and legal documents. * Develops contact list of leads in an effort to solicit new business * Collaborates with other departments within the organization to provide field level support that ultimately supports overall company goals * Participates in daily activities of staff; determines route coverage and performs route relief when necessary * Conducts warehouse walk through as necessary
Ideal Candidate
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Three (3) years experience in a sales environment. * Valid Driver’s License. Commercial Driver’s License may be required. * Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable driving record. * Travel overnight up to 25%of the time. * Ability to work with handheld software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Knowledge of SAP is a plus. * Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
