Summary
The Program Manager serves as the primary focal point within Chenega Professional & Technical Services on all matters pertaining to assigned contracts and task orders supporting Department of Energy (DOE) EERE Business Services. This individual is responsible for organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks. This contract will provide business administration and operations professional services. Functional areas include Administrative, Human Resources, Logistics, Finance and Budget Management, Business Process and Conference Planning Support.
Responsibilities
* Provides overall direction of program activities. * Represents CPTS as point-of contact to help resolve issues and perform other functions that may arise relating to the contract. * Manages and maintains interface with the senior levels of the customer’s organization. * Consults with customer and CPTS personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and costs and contractual obligations. * Establishes and maintains technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers. * Organizes and assigns responsibilities to subordinates and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks. * Educates and trains staff to ensure that they are able to effectively communicate with existing and potential customers. * Assumes the initiative and provide support to marketing personnel in identifying and acquiring potential business. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** * Will supervise a large group of professionals across multiple projects or task orders, to include staff in multiple physical locations.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline * Minimum of 10+ years’ experience as a Project/Program Manager * Prior experience in managing business services, business operations and administrative contracts **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline * Experience managing contracts over $50M in value * Experience within Department of Energy (DOE) * PMP Certification **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** * Demonstrated experience in maintaining good rapport and discretion in communicating with the public, stakeholders and employees * Strong organizational skills * Experience creating, managing and tracking key project management deliverables. * Previous experience conducting detailed project scoping and planning, developing project management deliverables, tracking project variance, managing project changes and reporting on project status. * Experience with managing multiple contracts and/or task orders of a technical nature **Diversity:** * Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; Educates others on the value of diversity; Promotes a harassment-free environment; Builds a diverse workforce. **Ethics:** * Treats people with respect; Keeps commitments; Inspires the trust of others; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values. **Physical Demands:** * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
