Summary
Chatham is looking for an experienced, collaborative Lead Payroll Professional for our HR/Payroll Team to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment in a growing financial services company.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for overall payroll operations * Actively work with other payroll team members to accomplish payroll deadlines and goals * Familiar with and able to perform each aspect of US and international payroll * Primary Lead for year-end activities, stock-related items, audits and special projects * Maintain current knowledge of applicable US and International tax and compensation laws * Provide regular feedback and developmental support to Payroll Team members * Serve as liaison with 3rd party vendors
Ideal Candidate
**Essential Skills & Experience** * 10 years US & International payroll-related experience in a corporate environment * Supervisory payroll experience in a corporate environment * Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet critical deadlines * Attention to detail * Strong customer orientation; ability to build strong working relationships within the payroll team, other internal teams and outside vendors * Planning and organization: able to plan and manage multiple projects and priorities * Strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality * Must be able to effectively respond to sensitive and/or technical questions from employees, managers and outside vendors * Strong understanding of payroll processes and continuous improvement mindset * Comfort with technology and demonstrated use of payroll software and HRIS/HRMS * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; must include Excel, Word and Outlook as well as demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping **Beneficial Skills** * Experience with a Corporate Employee Stock Purchase Program * Experience with 401(k) Retirement programs, Form 5500 filings and Audits * Experience with expatriate payroll * PHR Certification
