Summary
The CenturyLink Software Vertical Alliance Manager is responsible for the expansion of business in selling to and selling with a software client, a leading Storage software and platform company that is utilized on CenturyLink’s various Cloud, Managed Hosting, and dedicated infrastructure platforms. The Alliance Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing a total Alliance program driving sales efforts and programs with the client and CenturyLink across all of CenturyLink’s sales segments and channels. The Alliance Manager is responsible for driving all relationships between client and CTL including relationships with the CXOs and other high-level officials within our global client footprint. The Alliance Manager is accountable for driving increased global bookings and revenue from within their assigned Strategic Alliance accounts.
Responsibilities
* Develop and build new business relationships with the Strategic Alliance Account to understand opportunities for creating value and new business opportunities. * Provide leadership and direction to the account, strategic account team to identify global business opportunities and generate profitable sales within assigned accounts that meet and exceed new business revenue goals. * Collaborate with the client and sales teams to direct, develop and implement sales plans that support increased sales of client technology running on CenturyLink platforms and overall customer satisfaction. * Direct cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate the market * Create, develop and maintain “sell with” strategies, plans and actions with our key vendor partners and leading SI’s globally. * Leverage the company's global reach to influence decisions on projects for customer deliveries in both domestic and international locations. * Maintain the highest levels of personal and professional behavior in the work place. * Meet and exceed all bookings and revenue targets for this select key CenturyLink account with an emphasis on global growth. * Help CenturyLink to meet or exceed their key target objectives thru increased customer satisfaction and net promoter activities. * Help the CenturyLink Executive team develop strong “executive to executive” bonds with the chief executives of our major global clients. * Drive/promote CenturyLink Cloud Ecosystem efforts with the client including building of Cloud Marketplace additions / Blueprints & drive the end customer utilization of blueprints * Promote/Drive/Engage NetApp powered CenturyLink sales opportunities within the CenturyLink sales field including driving separate & joint client, CTL meetings, strategic planning sessions, as well as engage upon specific deals. * Be a Subject Matter Expert and the field’s go to person for sales strategy and direction on NetApp and Storage strategies as it relates to Platform CenturyLink. * Establish a vision of a committed Alliance Partner and Customer / Supplier relationship * Manage and grow customer relationships within assigned strategic accounts * Orchestrate organizational resources through effective communication and direction * Identify, understand and solve any obstacles or objections to the successful sale of CenturyLink.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 8-10 years of business experience * 5+ years of experience working in in global account leadership through growing and managing revenues in excess of $1 to 5 Million annually within large multi-national enterprise companies. * 3+ years in Hosting, Cloud, and/or IP network transport sales or related high tech industry * 3+ years in selling or working with NetApp or Managed Storage platforms * Demonstrated level of success in the development of cross functional relationships including internal team and external client organizations * Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills * International sales experience in the consulting/communications / technology industry * A (strong) passion for networking on an global level * Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds * Existing industry relationships * Knowledge about NetApp and Storage Software and platforms. * Industry knowledge in most of the following verticals is desired: * Media and Entertainment * Consumer Brands * Financial Services * Legal * Healthcare * Software (SaaS) * E-Business * Existing C-level contacts in assigned territory market a requirement. * Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience * Travel 30%
