As a QA engineer you will be part of a team responsible for delivering high quality NetApp software products. Through the application of systematic test tools and processes you will help deliver reliable, innovative storage and data management products. You will develop, modify, and execute software test plans; analyze and write test standards and procedures; document results; and work closely with development engineers in resolving problems. This position requires an individual who is creative, team-oriented, technology-savvy, driven to produce results, and who demonstrates the ability to take a cross-team leadership role.

• Gathering test requirements, reading and understanding software and/or hardware design specifications as well as product requirements, and developing, implementing and executing test plans
• Participating in design reviews and driving recommendations for product quality and testability, and influencing test strategies and designs across teams
• Setting-up lab resources and configuring testbeds
• Contributing to test automation infrastructure by writing and augmenting test scripts and/or test libraries
• Investigating problems found and driving them to resolution
• Participating in technical discussions within the team and with other groups across Business Units associated with specified projects and quality improvement initiatives
• Leading teams in software test planning, automation, documentation and process improvement
• Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals

*Requirements:

• Solid experience testing with Cloud (such as AWS or Azure)
• Experience with testing Software as a Service (Saas)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong leadership skills
• Deep enterprise software testing experience and a continuous-improvement mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to set and meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
• Successfully lead teams through development and execution of project plans - Extensive experience in software testing, planning, documentation, and process improvement
• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
• Familiarity with SQL, Linux, JBoss, Java, VMware, Windows Server, REST API, Data mining, HTML5, and web-based applications
• Must have experience with web services/API testing
• Understanding of JavaScript Frameworks such as React, Angular or Backbone, knows ES5 to ES6+
• Work closely with WebUi and server teams that expose OCI functionality through REST, ElasticSearch, NoSQL and Graph Databases
• Strong understanding of concepts related to network and computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices. Storage domain knowledge is a plus
• Ability to work on complex issues, where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluations
• Work with customers, partners or other external parties in product quality efforts as necessary

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience is required. 6-8 years of experience is preferred.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, master’s degree, or PhD; or equivalent experience is required.
