Summary
The Account Executive Employee Benefits is a role for a motivated candidate who is looking to work for a leading broker in the Los Angeles market. The ideal candidate for this position is going to be someone with strong technical expertise related to employee benefits, but who also possesses an ability to think outside of the box. A true self starter who can lead a project to completion regarding client service, carrier interaction, team interaction, and participation in business development.
Responsibilities
* Interface with a group of assigned clients to strategize and propose viable solutions to manage the menu of benefit options that the client offers to its employees. * Partner with clients and assist them with emerging trends, annual renewal process, and other possible options that would enhance or meet the goals of the client. * Understand thoroughly and stay abreast of changes in employee benefits, including plan designs, available riders, legislation, and emerging trends. * Attend training opportunities, read and share industry knowledge, and regularly participate in coursework to either earn or maintain professional designations. * Strategically plan and execute plan renewals, staying in regular communication with the clients and updating them on trends and solutions for their business needs. * Conduct client presentations in a consultative and informative manner. * Assess cross-selling opportunities with all clients. * Ensure that the implementation and transition processes for all carrier changes are handled smoothly with minimal disruption.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree required. * 3-5 years of industry experience, preferably in a retail agency setting. * Strong knowledge of self-funding preferred. * State Life & Health license required. * Professional designations (RHU, REBC, CEBS) a plus.
