Summary
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is accountable for managing a high profile book of business that is complex to handle and generates substantial revenue that is critical to the company operations. This position is expected to regularly exercise independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance by assisting Producer in handling renewal of existing accounts, sale of new accounts, and rounding of existing accounts. The Commercial Lines Account Manager consistently contributes to meeting and exceeding established client retention goals, with minimum supervision from the producer or commercial manager. The Account Manager is a reliable contributor to the organization as well as a consistent performer with a positive work ethic and continuous pursuit of professional development. This position is expected to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients, as well as mentor team members by providing frequent opportunity for them to learn and grow, being instrumental in leading a unit to top performance.
Responsibilities
* Manage Renewal Process * Provide insurance advice pertaining to technical aspects and service support of new and renewal business including maintaining client retention of existing accounts * Communication/Client Service (internal & external clients) * Master Sagitta Agency Management System and document management system * Mentor associates * Problem Solving including abstract reasoning * Client claims management * Manage client accounts receivables/payables * Time management and organization * Professional Growth and Development * Must feel comfortable with client entertainment functions, i.e., business dinners
Ideal Candidate
* Current Florida 2-20 License * College degree; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience desirable * Professional Insurance Designations preferred, or willingness to obtain * Extensive knowledge of commercial policy contracts/coverages * Possess skills necessary to communicate with clients, carriers and prospects concerning commercial lines of coverage * Extensive understanding of the regulatory, legislative and legal issues surrounding critical commercial situations, including understanding of marketplace and market conditions * Advanced knowledge of software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF) and Internet environments * Ability to maintain and organize electronic files on the company document management system * Working knowledge of Sagitta Agency Management System, or willingness to learn * Advanced knowledge and understanding of agency accounting principle * Strong analytical skills, ability to manage multiple tasks * Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail * Responsive, positive and self-motivated team player
