Summary
The main purpose of this position is to assist clients at the National Service Center with brokerage and bank account inquiries. The Service Center Intern should meet or exceed the Scottrade customer needs, while gaining valuable work experience in the brokerage and banking industry.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service and promote Scottrade products and services via phone, e-mail and chat by utilizing applicable resources to efficiently resolve client and prospect inquiries. Collect lead information and route accordingly. * Ensure follow-up on customer inquires not immediately resolved. * Provide basic technical support for clients accessing Scottrade's trading platforms. * Develop general knowledge of different business lines via rotational assignments where learning will occur through hands on experience and shadowing opportunities. * Remain current on all policies, procedures, and Scottrade Learning Center training. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** * Ability to work an average of 15-25 hours per week and no more than 8 hours per day. * Posses fundamental computer skills and the ability to learn various software and brokerage applications required to complete customer request. * Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers and all Scottrade associates and by having a positive attitude. **Minimum Education & Experience:** * High School diploma or equivalent. * Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and attend classes at a local college or university with interests in business and financial services. * Must have a minimum of 2 semesters left before graduation.
