Emergency Response Supervisor Job

* Heavy involvement in the organizing of emergency response and preparedness activities to include those of the Subcontractors * Review and revise the Bechtel Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan * Developing a volunteer ERT. * Establishing an on-going training regime with volunteers to establish and effective ERT * Preparing post emergency reports, and tracking to close-out of corrective actions * Ensuring a coordinated and a complete response to emergencies during construction and start up activities * Assisting with formation of the Incident Management and Emergency Response teams * Coaching others, through participation in exercises, drills, and table top evaluations, on the approach/methods taken to evaluate/categorize and appropriately handle emergencies * Maintaining ERT equipment in a state of readiness * Providing assistance to project and construction management in implementing and complying with project requirements and in addressing emergency and cyclone preparedness issues as they arise during project execution. * Performs audits, inspections and readiness assessments of the Emergency Response and Cyclone Preparedness

* Degree or Graduate Diploma in Safety and Health or Emergency Management from a recognized University / College is preferred OR commensurate experience * Bachelors Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in ES&H / Emergency Management or related Fire Science/engineering area with a significant years of experience carrying out the responsibilities previously mentioned is preferred * Previous extensive emergency response, and cyclone preparedness experience as an Emergency Response Coordinator/Manager / Director is preferred * Previous experience as a Chief Warden, or a Fire Brigade Chief is preferred * Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft software applications * Excellent communication skills * Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training * Major Hazard Facility management
