Responsibilities
- Proposal Coordination and Development - Facilitate the production process of project opportunities. Coordinate and contribute to the writing, graphics, formatting, proofreading, and editing/review to ensure persuasive messages, brand consistency, and production. Work closely with project managers in developing proposal content. - Technical Writing – Create and edit content for proposals, resumes, project profiles, case studies, and other documents according to company standards that enhance clarity, conciseness, style and terminology. - Graphics Development – Utilize Adobe Suite software for creating visually-appealing marketing collateral such as brochures, banners, and internal and external communications that promote brand awareness in proposals, interviews, company website, community and client outreach, and other project materials. - Digital Marketing – Assist in website management such as images and content development and modification. Assist with other social media ideation, implementation, monitoring, and refinement. - Information Management – Create and maintain well-organized, updated qualifications statements, project profiles, personnel resumes as well as organize and manage other internal documentation. - Miscellaneous Marketing Activities - Assist with communication strategy and tactics such as marketing campaign development and tracking effectiveness (metrics), marketing collateral, public relations outreach, content development, enhancement of marketing standards, and procurement research and distribution. - Professional Development - Interest in evolving and advancing marketing skills by understanding the business environment and becoming involved in industry events and other business-related activities. - Client Relations - Provide support to enhance the client experience. Maintain client database, track project activities. - Outreach - Community and client outreach that promotes the firm’s mission, vision, and position in marketplace, as necessary.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications** - Enthusiastic spirit and a sense of humor. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including spelling, grammar and rules of composition. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently or in a collaborative culture, often under tight deadlines. - High social adaptability to work with a diverse pool of individuals including senior management, project managers, and administrative team members. - Critical thinking skills to solve problems, research options, think innovatively, and share ideas. - Strong attention to detail. - Organized, good time-management skills, self-motivated, with a positive work ethic. - Practical experience in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) preferred. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word (including high-level styles functions, template creation and modification) Excel, and PowerPoint required. - Knowledge of WordPress and website management a plus. - Familiarity with Deltek Vision a plus. - Familiarity of architectural/engineering/construction industry a plus. **Education and Experience** - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred. - Minimum three years’ experience in marketing, technical or proposal writing for professional services or equivalent.
