Summary
Under general direction, the Business Analyst effectively facilitates the gathering, analysis, prioritization and categorization of complex business requirements in the revenue business lines s/he supports. Leads and directs business teams in medium to large projects creating new business solutions or enhancements to existing business solutions. Interfaces with technology Business Analysts and other stakeholders, to identify needs and opportunities. Outlines business requirements, manages existing and documents/creates new process workflows, participates in the planning and definition of the testing strategy, leads and directs defect reviews, prioritizes events and creates defect tracking and metric reports. Develops and manages business analysis phase/stage plans, in addition to tracking and managing business requirement changes during the project lifecycle. Supports business project priorization and necessary strategy. Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements. Responsible to report any procedure or process that doesn’t meet regulatory requirements including fraud, whether suspected or confirmed, to management. This reporting can be done directly to any member of management, including Human Resources or Corporate Security, or can be reported through Associated’s anonymous Ethics Hotline.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct small, medium and large business line teams in medium to large projects - Develop and manage business analysis phase/stage plans (i.e., major activities, activities, tasks, milestones, schedule, resource allocation). - Facilitate the gathering, analysis, prioritization and complexity categorization complex business requirements. - Identify opportunities for functional domain business process improvements. - Document and model “as is” and "future" business processes. Analyze, optimize “as is” and "future"business process models and model to be “business process model.” - Effectively and efficiently organize and facilitate interviews and workshops. - Track and manage business requirements changes during the project lifecycle. - Proactively participate in testing activities, providing input into test plan accuracy and completeness. - Facilitate and direct testing defect tracking and reporting as needed and guide Business LIne through the testing process by supporting Residential Lending Test Team. - Participate in assessment projects. - Manage PMO project requests, as needed **Key Result Areas** - Other Documenting business requirements - Other Requirements management - Other Business process definition & modeling - Other Requirements explanation & analysis - Other Facilitation - Other Use case modeling & analysis - Other Requirements workshops - Other Estimation - Other Vendor selection & analysis
Ideal Candidate
