* Intermediate level QA engineer assigned to test production software on multiple projects of moderate complexity and scope from the QA delivery through release. Utilizes knowledge and relevant practical experience and exercises judgment in completing assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner. * Works on projects requiring technical decision making and input to schedules; normally receives no instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments; work periodically reviewed by more senior QA Engineer or Manager for the soundness of technical judgment and overall accuracy. * Follow schedules provided by more senior team members. Responsible for own schedule and work assignments, records, reports project status and metrics.

* Applies expertise related to estimating, designing, developing and executing test procedures and cases based on requirements relevant to automated test planning and creation for web site testing; depending on specific requirements, writes effective manual and automated test cases or automated frameworks; performs defect tracking and regression for identified project release * Participates in regular testing activities across the sub?disciplines of website, web based applications and systems engineering, including: requirement development, web site design, task estimation, site testing, site performance measurement, and performing web site maintenance * Analyzes and understands each project's environment, architecture, and interdependencies to determine and apply appropriate test methodologies and cases relative to applications being tested * Sets up test environments and builds out interdependent test beds * Writes effective plans and test cases based on functional, design and requirements specification for one or more medium to large functional areas * Uses appropriate quality control tools to uncover defects and discover the state of the code; analyzes and records testing results and defects * Assists developers in reproducing problems and getting them resolved; participates in design activity with other programmers on technical aspects relating to testing, including functional specifications, design parameters, feature enhancements, and alternative solutions

* 3 - 7 years of experience testing consumer-facing web sites and Content Management Systems * Strong analytical, problem solving, and technical testing skills. * Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. * Should be well organized, a quick self-learner, highly focused, and able to own a task through to completion. * Experience using a defect tracking system and writing bugs that anticipate the needs for resolution. * Cross-browser and cross-platform experience with Mac OS and Win OS proficiency using VMs. * Ability to write test plans and test cases for new and existing products, with good understanding of project life cycle. * Ability to multi-task and handle managing assignments on multiple projects. * Possesses working knowledge of at least one operating system and/or framework (Linux/UNIX). * Testing experience with Apache/Tomcat applications, including performing basic operations as start/stop, etc. * Experience with automation/scripting tools (Selenium WebDriver, Ruby, Shell Scripting, etc.) is a plus * Solid mobile testing experience with iOS and Android and can perform basic troubleshooting. * Experience with open source load testing tools is a plus. **GENERAL COMPETENCIES** * Ability to adhere to a disciplined work schedule; ability to follow directions from a supervisor; ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures; ability to accept constructive criticism. * Teamwork - works in concert with others toward shared goals, exhibits cooperativeness; participates in and supports effective conflict resolution. * Communication - ensures that communications channels are open and that information and ideas are flowing in all appropriate directions; listens, asks for and uses input. * Excellence Orientation - Strives to be the best that one can be and maximizes one's own potential in helping Citrix succeed; exhibits resilience; persistence, tenacity and a continuous improvement mindset. * Accountability - Holds self-accountable for keeping commitments and delivering the best possible performance; attention to detail; gets involved and participates through resolution. * Authenticity - show a genuine, accessible and caring side that builds trust, mutual support and credibility; listens, exhibits humility and gauges approachability of others; maintains composure; is able to be respectful and straightforward with others. * Innovation - participates in and supports an environment that is conducive to innovation and new ways of doing things; exhibits curiosity and open mindedness; suggests new ideas.
