Summary
The Channel & Product Marketing Manager is responsible for partnering with the other marketing team members and Chief Marketing Officer in development of channel and product development activities. Ensures achievement of strategic revenue objectives for a specific product or channel partnership. Plays proactive role in product or channel planning and design to ensure the product or relationship is differentiated from competitors. Involved with channel partnerships and product management throughout all stages of life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, and post-release activities).
Responsibilities
* Co-develop a strategic sales and marketing plan that identifies prospects , channel, opportunities and customers, prioritizes them according to importance and ability to provide results * Assists in the development of annual marketing strategy in conjunction with the Sales Organization and assists in resolves customer’s needs/problems * Use marketing data using applicable sales management systems or tools to maximize efficiency and analyze data/marketing activity on a regular basis * Effectively present and discuss the products and services of the Aspire’s channels, soliciting only those desired products/services provided by the company and its vendors, to current and prospective customers in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and delivery of customer needs * Assist and support related activities, presentations , seminars and education that promote the image of our company as a leader in retirement services * Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Sales, Account Management, Service and Marketing to define, develop, market, sell and deliver go-to-market plan and value proposition to guarantee that sales and client objectives are met for all channels * Develop a playbook/engagement model ‘template’ that facilitates an informed internal and external team * Collaborate with sales on business development tactics, webinars, regional meetings, channel conferences, materials, public relations, training, etc. * Assist in the Development of Aspire’s growth objectives through effective program and implementation of plans designed to support sales goals * Perform market assessments, competitor analyses, pricing strategies. Draw conclusions from market assessment data on the competitive environment and the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and targets. * Work with sales identified prospects/targets, customers, and defined referral sources and develop/maintain relationships to ensure attainment of company business goals. Support efforts to consistently grow the base of referral sources. * Actively manage short- and-long term TPA channel leads from external referral sources to qualify prospects and advance them through the sales process * Manage marketing data using applicable sales management systems or tools (e.g., database, computerized call calendars and time management systems) to maximize efficiency and analyze data/marketing activity on a weekly basis * Effectively present and discuss the products and services of the Aspire’s channels, soliciting only those desired products/services provided by the company and its vendors, to current and prospective customers in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and delivery of customer needs * Communicate effectively with the Sales Organization informing and updating regularly to guarantee that sales and client objectives are met for all channels * Assists in developing and implementing contract processes for channel relationships * Prepares reports of business impact * Performs other duties as directed by Supervisor
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 4 years related sales experience required. Strong verbal and written communication skills and good math skills. Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills and a sales aptitude. * Strong Microsoft suite and CRM experience * Must be a self-starter and a problem solver. Possesses the ability to display a range of characteristics, including calmness under pressure, a positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently and maintain tight schedules. As a key position to influence customer’s satisfaction and our company prosperity, this position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism. * Working knowledge, contacts and presence in the Finance industry and or retirement planning community strongly desired. * Sitting typing and computer monitor viewing for extended periods. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Must be able to type and perform repetitive key strokes.
