Responsibilities
- Sitka Technology Group is looking for an experienced Market Development & Inside Sales Manager to join our team at our office in downtown Portland working with like-minded folks to market cutting edge web and mobile applications that help protect and restore our natural world. Our applications play a vital role in collecting and leveraging data to help ensure that conservation resources are put to their best and most productive use. - This is a full-time position with responsibility for executing strategic marketing plans in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones. The primary mission is to increase the number of qualified leads and to smoothly transition those leads to senior Sitka staff. To be successful, you must quickly become proficient in describing and demonstrating Sitka products and services. Day-to-day tasks include managing and coordinating marketing campaigns & events, overseeing the creation of collateral, leading market research efforts, creating and updating web and social media content, developing and coordinating Sitka’s marketing event calendar. Over time, responsibilities may grow to include meeting with prospective customers.This position will manage weekly coordination meetings with senior Sitka staff. This position reports directly to partner level. **Functional Responsibility** - Assist with developing the market for Sitka products and services - Assist in developing and executing strategic marketing plans and lead-generation activities - Create succinct, insightful analyses of competition and customers - Establish and manage Sitka’s marketing calendar, and coordinate marketing events - Oversee the creation of marketing collateral - Keep Sitka website content current and fresh (case studies, blog postings, service descriptions) - Manage social media presence - Maintain data in Sitka’s CRM (Salesforce) - Identify and perform activities that promote and disseminate Sitka’s name and brand - Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts
Ideal Candidate
- More than three years' of experience in a related position Outstanding people skills; collaborator with high integrity and character - Results orientation – demonstrated history of achieving results. Stellar verbal, written, and visual communication skills - Ability to think creatively and innovatively - Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels - Sharp analytical skills to identify trends and challenges with acute attention to details - Strong project management skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Social Media Tools and Web Content Authoring - Ideally, experience in Sales or Marketing at a Professional Services, Technology, or Environmental Engineering firm
