Summary
Armstrong Flooring, a division of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. has a job opportunity for an IT Asset Management Specialist to be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, PA. The Asset Management Specialist is an individual contributor to the Asset & Supplier Management team, who is responsible for providing technical expertise in the area of Asset Management, participating in or overseeing a variety of assignments and the administration of hardware, software and supplier relationships. The successful Specialist provides day to day operational support for Asset & Supplier Management, including but not limited to maintaining software licensing, maintaining service subscriptions (e.g. mobile devices), and providing troubleshooting as necessary.
Responsibilities
**Assigned Area/Responsibility** * Support the efforts outlined by the Global Hardware and Software Asset Management (SAM) strategy and roadmaps. * Collect and record asset data from corporate and field related activities. * Execute the reporting of software license compliance and hardware asset inventory. * Execute and communicate the health metrics associated with asset management activities as required. * Mitigate and communicate risk to the company associated to the compliance of global software license management. * Consistently work toward the scalability of asset management within the asset toolset. * Fulfill asset requests and provide troubleshooting as required. * Contribute to the maintenance of renewals and subscriptions as required. * Work with software suppliers to obtain license information in order to ensure license compliance for the company * Assist in obtaining product roadmaps and lifecycles associated to hardware vendors. * Work with contracted and off-shore resources, and/or service providers to execute workflows associated to Asset Management. * Provide analysis of data required for input into yearly budget process. * Work on ad-hoc projects as necessary. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.** * Support the development of relationships with vendors in concert with Manager and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process. * Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of best-practice standards, policies, procedures, and associated training plans to ensure optimal daily operations are maintained. * Identify opportunities to improve global standardization and organizational efficiencies * Provide information to be used in the development of IT budgets (expense and capital). * Maintain documentation to ensure alignment between the business strategies and the technology roadmap

Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment when entering the floor of manufacturing facilities based on the specific requirements of each location. **Education and/or Experience** * 2+ years of experience in Asset Management (software licensing, service contracts, supplier management). * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field required. * Knowledge of IT asset management, hardware, software, and technology vendors. Demonstrated experience in IT Asset Management, Infrastructure and/or Applications, proven experience working in a high pressure, multi-solution environment. Strong relationship building skills and ability to work with internal and external resources. * Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel , PowerPoint). * Experience with Service Now service management platform. **Other Skills and Abilities** * Experience with SAP and/or other ERP system preferred * Ability to create monthly presentations for management * Ability to prioritize workload based on importance and urgency * Demonstrated experience in area of assigned responsibility
