Summary
The AppNexus Solutions Engineer plays a critical role as the technical expert when consulting to or selling into the most strategic prospects and accounts for AppNexus. Solutions Engineers are responsible for articulating the AppNexus value proposition, architecting custom ad serving solutions, and offering thought leadership to both business and technical audiences. This role is ideal for someone with enterprise software pre-sales experience who is passionate about technology.
Responsibilities
* Develop a deep understanding of the business goals and complex technical requirements of prospective clients and map these to AppNexus technology solutions * Collaborate with internal organizations (including sales, product management, and client services) to execute sales strategy * Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with influential decision makers and key stakeholders * Support cross-functional initiatives to drive the improvement of AppNexus products and services * Act as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) for key functional areas
Ideal Candidate
**About your skills:** * BA/BS degree and 2+ years of experience in a technical role, degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, MS/MBA from a top tier school preferred * Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, web servers, and other internet/network protocols * Technical pre-sales or consulting experience with enterprise accounts * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with equally good listening skills * Thoughtful approach to problem solving that includes long-term, strategic considerations for every business opportunity * Must be comfortable with up to 25% travel time and willing to travel on short notice * Familiarity with online media buying and selling, advertising technology solutions, and ad network business models a plus **More about you:** * You are passionate about a culture of learning and teaching.
