Summary
Provides financial, analytical and decision support to the Operations Contract Manufacturing Organization and sits within Operations Finance. Our team is responsible for providing financial, analytical and decision support to the Amgen Operations Organization. Provides all financial planning & analysis support to the Contract Manufacturing Function (ACM), including ownership of Long Range Plan (LRP), annual budget, quarterly forecasts and actual vs LRP/budget/forecast analysis. Serve as the key strategic Finance partner to ACM Leadership, including sitting on the Senior Leadership Team and providing advice regarding new business ventures/deals. Responsible for COGM forecasts and actuals for commercial products manufactured throughout the ACM network, including setting of standard costs, variance analysis, etc.
Responsibilities
* Planning and Reporting data to determine manufacturing product costs for Amgen Contract Manufacturing \(ACM\) network * Forecasting ACM Network Cost of Goods Manufactured \(COGM\) * Forecasting/Reporting outside spend for clinical Manufacturing * Forecasting ACM Network Operational Excellence * Finance Support to ACM Plant Mangers * Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs * Finance support of ACM capital projects presented to Captial Review Committee/Vice President Peer Review for funding * Monthly review with ACM manufacturing management Capital, Operational Excellence, Clinical and COGM spend * Maintaining Cost Accounting System * Month end close activities * Assist Tax on IRS audits
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications** * Doctorate degree and 2 years’ Finance experience or * Master’s degree and 4 years’ Finance experience or * Bachelor’s degree and 6 years’ Finance experience or * Associates degree and 10 years Finance experience. **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting with 6+years’ experience in Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment with SAP systems background * Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills * Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize financial data and present in an accurate, concise, digestible and actionable manner. * Detailed oriented and the ability to think strategically and analytically * Ability to work under pressure and work independently.
