Summary
The Remanufactured Equipment Specialist will report to the Aftermarket and Field Service Manager. This position is responsible to design and implement business strategy to penetrate new markets and create additional opportunities for remanufactured equipment. Revenue growth for this business segment is a priority. Responsible for implementation of strategic programs, processes, procedures and policies which will have an organizational impact. Must follow SMIQ and align with our Integrated Business Planning strategies.
Responsibilities
* Grow order due dates based on the scheduled time slots and updates due dates as the production schedule changes. Communicates with customers as required. * Maintain Remanufactured Equipment customer database. Remanufactured Equipment Business from $4.5M to $8M near term * Implementation of new Terms and Conditions that meet both FMC Technologies and customer requirements * Rebranding and naming of business * Marketing Plan – to include ecommerce strategy, website and credit card transactions * Sales plan that pushes and promotes available Remanufactured Equipment to FMC Technologies sales, Direct Sites, Service Organization and potential customers * Core reclamation strategy that actively engages customers (new tactics required to source cores) * Plan to move operation to sustain growth (evaluate tools and equipment required for a growing business) * Track On-time to Customer Request and meet goal of shipping majority of products within 5 business days * Manage inventory and replenishment processes to support customer demand * Maintain finished goods to established levels * Liaison between Customer Service, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to process inquiries, prepare quotations, process purchase orders in a timely and accurate fashion * Participate in redesign of Warranty and RMA processing; with the intent to not have it has a function of the Remanufactured Equipment Business. * Process incoming remanufactured equipment orders, reviewing technical specifications, pricing and discounting. Obtain additional information or clarification as required. Provide follow-up as required. * Provide formal remanufactured products quotations and billable service repair quotations. * Provide logistical support for all used equipment buybacks and outbound remanufactured sales orders complete with tracking detail. * Expedites delivery by working with planning and production to assure that equipment can be assembled and tested by a specified shipping date. * Provides input to production scheduling for requested order delivery dates. Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, MIS or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and preferably with 3 to 5 years Inventory Management, Project Management or Customer Service in a manufacturing environment. * Typically 8+ years of overall experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Strong Six Sigma or Lean Process improvement background. * Must possess and demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude. * Must demonstrate strong communication skills, organizational skills, proficiency in planning and negotiation skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to operate within a strong team environment. * Proficient with MS Office applications and SAP operation. * Must have a basic understanding of machining, manufacturing and procurement processes. * Must be able to handle multiple tasks within a fast paced manufacturing environment. * Must have experience with material replenishment processes, inventory methods and levels, and the coordination of customer support activities. The position can be very difficult in that many activity requirements do not report to this position. Excellent coordination and influencing behaviors/skills are required. * Initially this position will have no direct reports however supervisory/management experience a plus for opportunity for growth in this expanding role * Ability to recognize the impact of non-compliance with internal controls, accounting principles and financial standards. * Ability to implement product/project execution plans as required by relevant policy and procedures; solutions are derived from knowledge gained through past external experiences and internal resources. * Prepare and deliver presentations and reports * Ability to independently establish work tasks in order to successfully meet expectations. * Must have experience with material replenishment processes, inventory methods and levels, and the coordination of customer support activities.
