Responsibilities
**Summary:** - The Designer provides support for the creative development of all marketing communications for American Tower. - The incumbent works closely with the Design Supervisor and Senior Marketing Manager to understand project goals and support a variety of marketing program executions. - The Designer will be responsible for the end-to-end creative development of simple communications with the oversight of the Design Supervisor, will make necessary updates to existing materials, provide thoughts and ideas on larger campaign concepts in support of the Design Supervisor and will design and create templates for internal and external use. **Essential Functions:** - Draft and edit designs, concepts and layouts for simple marketing collateral including but not limited to: HTML e-mails, sell sheets, PowerPoint presentations, basic print ads, online banner ads, etc. (50% online/email, 25% presentations, 25% print). - Work with internal groups to develop employee communications as needed (for example, e-mails or brochures regarding benefits, training programs, etc.). - Update existing marketing materials to ensure all are up-to-date and relevant to the current marketing strategy. - Ensure all marketing materials are on-brand by adhering to the brand guidelines and suggesting improvements to the guidelines to the Senior Marketing Manager and Design Supervisor if necessary. - Participate in creative brainstorming sessions with internal stakeholders for customer- and employee-facing campaigns and marketing collateral. - Provide creative ideas and input for more complex campaigns and marketing collateral, in support of the Design Supervisor. - Work with print vendors to manage the production of all printed materials including but not limited to securing print quotes, determining compatible file types and reviewing proofs. - Develop various company templates to ensure overall consistency. - Maintain archives of images, photos and previous work product. - Provide general design and production support as needed.

Qualifications: - Strong understanding of design methodologies, color theory, and typography. - Creative thinker. - Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results - Strong follow-up skills; ability to organize applicable department timelines and follow up with internal and external customer needs - Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively - Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment - Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors. - Self-motivated; able to work independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests and to collaborate with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify high quality solutions. - Must have a positive attitude with a strong desire to enhance American Tower’s brand across all marketing materials. **Education and Experience:** - Bachelor’s degree required. - Between 4–6 years of experience in an advertising agency or corporate marketing setting required. - Strong experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver (CS5, CS6 or CC) and Microsoft PowerPoint required. - Experience coding and troubleshooting HTML and CSS for web and emails required. - Experience with video, animation and sound editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Soundbooth and Flash preferred. - Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 coding, HTML email design best practices and an understanding of responsive design preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. - Experience with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, JavaScript and other front-end web technologies, photo color correction and the printing and prepress process a plus.
