Responsibilities
  • 70%-80% of this role expected to be hands-on billable work

  • Production supervision of studio, including offline and online production

  • Print production and consultation (file prep, proofs, press checks)

  • Email/landing page production including trafficking/oversight of a heavy volume of work through QC, file prep and asset/code delivery

  • Perform Production Artist work as necessary

  • Review incoming work orders for the Studio, maintain Studio Log information, and work with Account teams to prioritize work as needed to ensure on-time delivery

  • Oversee quality control for all output from the Studio team

  • Manage and archive all creative source files, videos, artwork, presentations, etc.) for clients and HNW work in compliance with standard practices and client agreements

  • Run weekly creative resource meetings and partner with Account team members to resolve resourcing issues

  • Determine studio staffing needs and partner with the Group Creative Director to recruit/hire staff and freelance talent on a just-in-time basis

  • Manage external agency partners/vendors (e.g. printers, stock houses, retouchers) to meet specific project requirements and budgets (specs, pricing, invoicing, set-up in system)

  • Oversee and mentor studio staff and work with HR to identify learning and training opportunities

  • Closely manage and track freelancers and associated costs

  • Maintain and be familiar with all client Brand guidelines and assets

  • Participate in client meetings/calls as needed to facilitate and represent the agency in creative and production discussions

  • Partner with IT group regarding server, file, and digital asset management With the help of your team, provide design support for HNW departments, including operations, IT and HR

  • Recommend process improvements to optimize productivity, workflow or quality of work

  • Actively participate in that mushy culture-building stuff that makes all the time we spend at work more enjoyable

Ideal Candidate
  • 7-10 years design and production experience in advertising/marketing industry, both print and digital

  • 3-5 years creative resource management or studio management experience including both digital and print

  • Extremely strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite design software, e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.

  • Solid understanding of HTML, HTML 5 and CSS (Flash or After Effects a plus) is required

  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite

  • Expert knowledge of print and digital production processes

  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple groups

  • Highly detail-oriented

  • Assertive and diplomatic conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, probably in Graphic Design but we're even open to Philosophy majors if you have the chops
