Summary
The Talent Acquisition Strategy & Operations Manager oversees the design, implementation, and administration of programs and practices that facilitate the effective sourcing, recruitment, selection, on-boarding, transferring, and promotion of employees and independent sales agents. Ensures talent acquisition strategies align to the corporate mission, vision, values, and culture, and divisional goals. Works collaboratively as a member of the Human Resources division leadership team to attain division and company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
**Talent Acquisition Strategy (50%)** * Manages the utilization of various resources to ensure policies, programs and practices facilitate the effective sourcing, recruitment, and selection of employees and independent sales agents. * Keeps abreast of all legal compliance issues relating to recruiting and staffing. Understands the independent contractor status of our agents and utilizes the knowledge to develops and recommend overall strategies and models that fit our overall company business needs. * Coordinates with relevant HR personnel to develop and carry out workforce transition plans in support of organizational changes. * Establishes and maintains relationships with requisition management and applicant tracking providers, executive search firms, advertising vendors and external job boards, outplacement, or related services. (e.g., college relations and social media). * Oversees the selection and management of a national contingent workforce provider as well as accompanying practices and policies. * Maintains high level oversight of the company's relocation vendor and program. * Works with divisional metrics and reporting area to develop, maintain and interpret measurements relevant to the department programs. * Partners with talent programs and other internal personnel to establish and maintain the effective use of the corporate employment brand and support of corporate retention initiatives. **Management/Leadership for Department or Unit (30%)** * Manages direct reports, systems, and projects to achieve department/unit goals in accordance with Company policies and practices. * Prepares and analyzes department/unit plans and reports. * Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, thus affecting the results of the operating area. * Creates an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance, and maintaining open communications. * Develops staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments, and establishing performance & development plans. **Strategies Linked to the Division's Business Goals/Results (20%)** * Establishes, communicates, and implements departmental plans, objectives, and strategies. * Participates as a member of the Management Team. * Maintains an active awareness of American Family's business environments, corporate culture, and structure to support key decision-making.
Ideal Candidate
* Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service * Demonstrated experience in a hiring environment, including electronic recruitment techniques, candidate search, diversity recruiting, job posting, interviewing, testing, or offer processes. * Demonstrated experience translating business strategies into people requirements and staffing strategies. * Demonstrated leadership experience, including people or project management. * Extensive knowledge and understanding of staffing programs, policies, and practices. * Extensive knowledge and understanding of employment and labor laws and regulations
