The Alzheimer’s Association works on a global, national and local level to enhance care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. We are here to help. We have local chapters across the nation, providing services within each community. We provide caregivers and families with comprehensive online resources and information through our Alzheimer's and Dementia Caregiver Center, which features sections on early-stage, middle-stage and late-stage caregiving.
Summary
Provides administrative support to achieve the organizational goals of the Alzheimer's Association.
Responsibilities
* Welcomes guests by greeting them in person or on the phone; answering or directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member. * Coordinates for President/CEO all board committee logistics, administrative functions, manages calendar, travel arrangements as needed and types all correspondence. * Provides the following for the development and marketing department; generates donation acknowledgements, thank you letters and distributes press releases as needed. * Provides and maintains agency support functions such as but not limited to; office equipment, office and agency supplies and USPS mail. * Maintains the following for the volunteer program; office volunteers, application processing, files, keep volunteer needs current on agency and volunteer websites and data entry of volunteer hours. Registers and attends volunteer fairs as needed. Coordinates of United Way Day of Caring. * Provides the following for the programs and services department; covers respite and transportation requests as needed. Signs out library books and maintains library. * Organizes and maintains appropriate files. * Assists with agency events. * All other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
* Associates Degree with 4 years' experience. * Experience in office procedures. * Proficient in; Microsoft Windows 7, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, Gmail, Microsoft Office 2007/2010 including; MSWord, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Excellent written, oral, organizational and communication skills. * Ability to plan and prioritize assignments within responsibilities of the position. * Ability to work independently a must. * Must be self-motivated. * Driver's license, car and proof of insurance are required.
