Summary

AECOM Technical Services is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Marketing Specialist II for immediate employment in the Minneapolis, MN office. The Marketing Specialist II will be a key professional, critical to the success of AECOM’s marketing program, business development, and production of related documents, including proposals, statements of qualification, and presentations.

Responsibilities
  • Function as a fully competent marketing professional in all aspects of marketing, proposals, and business development
  • Independently plan and conduct work that requires judgment and decision making through the proposal/marketing process
  • Coordinate and manage the process for assigned proposal and presentation efforts and marketing/business development materials
  • Ensure client focus is woven into proposals and marketing materials
  • Write some sections for proposals
  • Develop slides for presentations
  • Coordinate with other AECOM offices and partner firms on proposal and presentation efforts
  • Be involved in pursuit strategy meetings and help develop ‘win’ themes
  • Conduct quality assurance/quality control on proposals
  • Occasional travel on behalf of the Company
Ideal Candidate

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (business, marketing, engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience
    • 4+ years of experience in the AE industry and experience and strengths in:
    • Proposal development and production, including integration of detailed technical concepts into an effective and cohesive sales document
  • Page layout and graphic presentation of documents to amplify and simplify the communication of themes and technical details; this is not a graphic design position but graphic design skills are required
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to develop proposal outline, schedule and task assignments for compliance with RFP requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clients
  • Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities and requirements
  • Ability to interpret, coordinate and execute complex marketing and/or production tasks
  • Experience and skill at reviewing, organizing, translating and editing written documentation to improve clarity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to take initiative in anticipating tasks and to look for ways to add value to the process/procedures
  • Ability to conduct final QA/QC check, including proofreading for grammar and RFP compliance and checking for conformance to established strategies and plans
  • Intensive and diversified knowledge of marketing and proposal principles in the coordination and production of proposals, presentations, as well as other business development/marketing materials
