Financial Reporting Analyst

The Financial Reporting Analyst is a new role opened by Redbox to respond to standalone internal and external reporting needs for the Company. The position offers a unique opportunity to apply and learn both analytical skills with a financial focus and technical accounting from within the accounting department. The role will be primarily responsible for the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual internal financial reporting for management’s use and for the preparation of related variance analysis working closely with cross-functional teams including the organization’s separate Financial Planning and Analytics, tax, operations, marketing teams.

* Prepares monthly financial information for internal use including as needed formal presentations for the board of directors, audit committee, and management * Prepares quarterly and annual external financial statements in accordance with US GAAP * Consolidates financial results at the parent company level to support the needs for consolidated information * Ensures financial results are accurate and consistent in all areas presented internally and externally * Collects and organizes information to support the integrity of the financial information presented such that it can be audited by our independent external auditors * Build analytical models to explain business questions and results; validate analyses by collaborating with business partners; package and deliver results to key stakeholders who could include members of the Redbox leadership team. * Articulate real-time status to business unit leaders, and partner with strategy groups, primarily the Financial Planning and Analytics team, to analyze variances from expectations and provide recommendations * Support Ad hoc financial analysis and monthly reporting requirements as needed * Performs other duties as assigned or required

**Education & Experience** * Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Accounting or Finance is preferred. * In-depth finance knowledge (P&L, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow) and comfort with standard accounting methods. * CPA/CMA designation (or in progress) and/or an MBA would be a plus. * Minimum 2+ years of related work experience * Experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4 firm preferred) and/or a publicly-held corporation in a role heavily involved with financial reporting and analysis for a similar duration is a plus * Expert working knowledge of MS Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) * Experience with ERP Systems; Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** * Proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills, including significant examples of problem-solving, performing detailed analysis, and developing and communicating recommendations * Strong work ethic and results orientation required for fast paced, customer-focused environment * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the business, including analysts, department heads, and the leadership team * High degree of self-motivation and ability to work with limited supervision * Ability to manage demanding deadlines, changing requirements, and working with limited resources or information * Ability to process large quantities of data quickly and accurately
