Summary
The Sr. Compensation Specialist will be the subject matter expert on administering and monitoring 2U’s compensation programs.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to the HR organization by preparing and analyzing data, performing job evaluations, inputting and extracting and analyzing benchmark salary data, creating career ladders, developing reports to track compensation information and assisting with the implementation of compensation-related programs such as merit, stock and bonus plans. * Support the effective administration of company-wide compensation programs - * Input benchmark salary data to survey company. Extract and analyze data both to assist in the development of overall pay programs and to support ad hoc requests. * Work with functional organizations to develop job descriptions to clearly articulate job responsibilities by level. * Prepare and analyze internal and external compensation data, summarizing findings and making recommendations as appropriate. * Review internal policies and practices, both formal and informal, to develop clear guidelines and publish new or revised policies as needed. * Provide support and other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* 4 - 7 years of progressively responsible human resource experience directly related to compensation in a global company. * Strong analytical skills and financial background to evaluate competing plans * Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies and operations. * Experience in preparation for Board compensation committee meetings helpful * Strong data and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Comfortable with 10% travel * Strong project management skills and the ability to work in quickly-changing environment * Bachelor’s degree required * Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment * Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change * Passion for changing the landscape of higher education
