Summary
Yext is looking for a Contracts Specialist to work alongside our Revenue, Finance and Legal teams to help solve deal structure questions and support order processing by ensuring orders are in compliance to revenue & company policy. This role requires an extremely detail-oriented individual who is able to work in a team environment, be self-motivated and solve problems using decision making skills. You will be responsible for understanding Yext's business and generally accepted SaaS contracts business processes.
Responsibilities
* Provide internal support and guidance for a regional sales teams, including but not limited to deal structure questions, order processing and ensuring orders are in compliance to revenue & company policy. * Liaise with Revenue Operations, Finance and Legal on contract issues and provide suggestions and assistance for contract negotiation. * Ensure compliance with all company policies. * Help train sellers and facilitate cross-training among the team. * Contributes ideas and innovations to improve upon existing systems, work processes and procedures. * Create and update internal departmental policies. * Participate in projects involving technical and financial concepts providing recommendations. * Review submitted contract and order forms for completeness, accuracy, and conformance inside com. * Process contracts and orders and ensure all documentation is in compliance with revenue and company policy. * Create and modify customer quotes and order forms as required. * Challenge legacy policies and procedures that complicate quote, order, contracting and processing. * Share best practices with team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of support and contribute to the knowledge base. * Establish strong relationships with Revenue, Finance and Legal, and other internal resources as appropriate. * Negotiate, draft and prepare for execution agreements for the licensing and/or support of Yext products for all sales levels. * Obtain required approval for non-standard contract provisions through appropriate departments, following up to secure timely responses. * Identify and communicate potential compliance or control issues to Finance and Legal. * Prioritize multiple matters and projects, continuously communicating with Yext's Legal team and clients to ensure expectations are clear and met. * Assist counsel in developing new and improved corporate templates for product or service offerings. * Act as a focal point for fielding contract-based questions from all departments throughout the company; provide practical contractual guidance to business team members. Review and approve consents, license transfers and other routine customer requests. * Work closely with Legal as a point of contact to ensure contract management database and files are properly maintained. * Use independent judgment and creativity to resolve contract issues. * Focus on the design, implementation and effectiveness of the contracting process with the goal of making continuous process improvements. * Maintain a sharp focus on client activities and requirements so as to be able to better serve client needs. * Foster collaboration and alignment with corporate directives, objectives and processes, as well as Legal Department directives, objectives and processes.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Requirements:** * 4+ years customer order management, or sales support experience in the IT industry * Contract structuring and Order Management experience * Demonstrated participation in process improvement initiatives and/or project management experience * Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate verbally and written, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues; ability to think quickly * Ability to excel in a fast growing/fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing to deadlines where adaptability is imperative * Ability to understand broader business and financial issues, juggle multiple projects and tasks, and to work with deadlines and in a fast paced environment * Great attention to detail * Thrives in a team environment * Demonstrated initiative * Ability to work independently * Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience **Preferred Requirements:** * Proficient in Salesforce * Experience working with Apttus
