Summary
As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the primary technical resource for the entire sales team and report directly to the Director of Solutions Engineering. You will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product champion for our products. The Solutions Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. You must be able to identify all technical issues and complexities of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. You must also be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with all involved parties throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities
* Ability to be the technical liaison between the sales team and the prospect or client * Partner with the sales team to design and deliver sales presentations and demonstrations * Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars and other client-facing events. * Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs * Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams * Serve as the internal subject matter expert and source of market intelligence * Able to travel throughout sales territory, as needed.
Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales (bonus points for SaaS specific experience) and be passionate about how technology is shaping the future of work. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding client base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and report generation. You should be organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. * 3-7+ years relevant experience in vendor sales * Experience and familiarity of our products and line of business a plus * B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is strongly preferred * Experience in the HR/HCM space is a plus
