Summary
We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and dedicated web front-end engineer with extensive JavaScript experience and a passion for UI/UX, design, performance and responsiveness to join our team. Your primary role will be to transition current web dashboards, currently generated from HTML output by Laravel blade templates, to a JavaScript web application (mostly likely in Angular or React). We love working with great creative minds, people that can think outside of the box and people that are ready to make a difference at our company. This position comes with a lot of responsibility and ownership — the right person will be expected to deliver at a high pace, with high reward.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to an agile team that solves complex challenges and builds quality software. * Craft delightful, intuitive, and responsive user experiences. * Lead the initiative to migrate to a JavaScript framework utilizing our backend’s RESTful APIs. * Implement UI layouts and components at a rapid pace with excellent use of the chosen JavaScript framework and templating language. * Design and maintain high-performance data management and storage systems. * Create test cases, unit tests, and automation scripts. * Push the boundaries of current browsers by solving complex and interesting problems. * Play an important role in improving the team’s technical depth and efficiency.
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years of experience working professionally with JavaScript, HTML and CSS. * 1+ years of experience in a prominent JavaScript framework such as Angular or React. * A strong technical background with intuitive design sense and expert knowledge in JavaScript, ECMAScript 6, Sass, CSS3 animations, Git, and other web/fontend technologies. * Experience with modern browser technologies, including WebSockets, Local Storage, Worker Threads, etc. * Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance and reliability issues. * Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and OAuth2 authentication. * A strong understanding of web security and defensive programming techniques. * Unit and acceptance testing experience. * A love for speed. Milliseconds means everything. * A strong attention to detail, performance, usability and reliability. * Excellent communication and organization skills with natural ability to articulate and defend design decisions. * A strong vision for modern business and enterprise products.
