Summary
er Bros. Home Entertainment’s (WBHE) transactional film business, we’re seeking a Manager, YouTube Content Strategy and Optimization to help shape and execute a channel strategy for our film library. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned YouTube professional with a track record of launching and optimizing a network of channels. A strong understanding of the Youtube ecosystem, a passion for film and an insatiable curiosity about the consumer and their video consumption will be key to success in this position. Coming from an MCN or growing start-up in the online video space, this candidate will possess strong creative sensibilities, a strategic vision for channel organization and development and a roll-up-you-sleeves can-do attitude. The Manager will work cross-functionally with Creative Services, Sales, Marketing and Legal to pilot new channel development, while managing existing the channels under the WBHE umbrella.
Responsibilities
* Manage content strategy, video optimization and viewership growth for WBHE’s existing and newly created YouTube channels. Work with internal and external stakeholders to spearhead YouTube channel rollout, including determining content proposition, programming strategy, legal clearances, branding and video optimization. * Actively manage WBHE’s existing YouTube channels with audiences that total 800K subscribers and 150 million video views. Management includes channel branding, programming, optimization (eg. Titles, tags, descriptions, annotations, etc) and reporting strategies. * Develop data-driven recommendations for WBHE’s activation on YouTube, with the goal of driving content engagement, brand awareness and monetization of the Studio’s film franchise and library content. * Work with Analytics team to derive insights from YouTube Analytics, Google Analytics, the Tubular Analytics suite, as well as and other social platforms, to drive viewership and engagement. Lead creation of recurring reporting on impact of rollout and optimization efforts against newly established benchmarks for success. * Work cross divisionally to ensure all WB film and enhanced content is flowing through YouTube’s CMS and is effectively tagged to enable CTR and engagement. * Collaborate with international territories to share best practices around YouTube channel execution and audience insights. * Work across the studio to ensure WBHE’s YouTube efforts can be leveraged by other teams for consumer insights, data collection, programmatic buying and general commercialization of studio content.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS required. * MBA desired. * YouTube Certified credentials strongly preferred. * 5+ years experience in a team management role and working cross-functionally to accomplish business objectives. * Expert level understanding of YouTube (YouTube Certified credentials strongly preferred), native video platforms and social ecosystems. * CRM experience strongly preferred. * Experience with multi-platform content release strategy and best-practices across platforms. * Experience with short and long form video monetization/distribution strategies including EST, TVOD, AVOD and SVOD. * Google Analytics, Youtube Analytics and Tubular Analytics experience required. * Expert level understanding of YouTube and social ecosystems, platform form tools, and analytics. * Deep knowledge how to engage with fan (video-based) communities through Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, Vine, Instagram, Snapchat. * Experience with multi-platform content release strategy and best-practices across platforms. * Exceptional organizational and follow through skills. * Experience working in a deadline oriented environment with a high attention to product quality. * Must be a self starter with energy, strong work ethic, drive and determination to accomplish goals. * Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in previous work environments and be able to set priorities, stay focused, and set clear milestones. * Exceptional organizational and follow through skills. * Attention to detail and deadlines. * Demonstrated ability to effectively build partnerships and influence stakeholders and decision making at all levels of a matrix organization. * Proven track record of innovation and challenging accepted wisdom. * Demonstrated ability to dig deep and deliver causal insights. * Demonstrated strong collaborative, consultative, project management, organizational and people development skills. * Knowledge of entertainment industry, specifically digital distribution landscape.
