Summary
Plans, directs and controls all sales activities of an assigned entity.
Responsibilities
* Provides leadership that maintains all functions, interacting at all levels to assure success in achieving sales business goals and objectives * Establishes Account Executives and team budgets and monitors rate structure * Oversees LSM(s), Account Executives, Ad Sales Coordinators, and related personnel. Monitors progress to ensure quality work * Reviews and approves advertising sales reports and contracts * Directly or through subordinates oversees advertising availability inventory * Acts as Chief Administrator of all sales control issues (revenue development) * Assures maximum utilization of all sellable inventory and works to develop promotions. AE and client incentives and maintain strong customer relationships * Researches new selling opportunities and presents to the Regional Vice President * Cooperates with all Viamedia systems and other respective partners in the areas of marketing, technical and operational needs to ensure the success of both organizations * Interfaces with cable system operations on joint projects * Ensures all company EEO policies and procedures are followed
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Sales or Marketing or Business or equivalent experience. * 5-10 years of media or cable sales experience. * 5-7 years of management experience. * Ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of personnel. * Ability to motivate others and to work under pressure. * Must be able to travel as required. * Must have keen awareness of competitive conditions. * Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
