Collections Specialist

Verathon has an exciting opportunity on our Accounting Team for a Collections Specialist. This fast paced position will be responsible for the collection of aged receivables, back up of cash applications, and assisting with other credit related issues. Excellent client service skills are a must.

* Responsible for managing aged accounts receivable including, contacting customers to collect delinquent invoices and taking appropriate action to resolve underlying issues. * Respond to customer and sales representative’s inquires related to accounts receivable balances and invoices. * Provide management with information on credit issues related to notification of bankruptcy and bad debt issues. * Provide management with recommendations on accounts to be sent to collections in written narrative summary, detailing the account and collection history and including copies of all needed documentation. * Provide assistance/back up on cash deposits and applications. * Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

* Associates degree or equivalent experience, required * Minimum of 2 years previous high volume collections and cash applications experienced required. * Requires strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand the value of our customers and strive to keep Goodwill. * Advanced organizational skills a must. * Strong problem solving and analytical abilities. * Must have the ability to successfully function in a fast-paced team oriented environment. * Proficient computer skills required; ability to optimize performance and efficiencies utilizing systems such as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Skilled at resolving delinquent accounts to ensure the company’s cash flow is optimal.
