Responsibilities
**Position Summary:** - This position manages all aspects of the Agency’s marketing, communications, public relations and outreach efforts in conjunction with President/CEO and in collaboration with all VALLEYLIFE departments. **Duties:** - Creates and manages the agency marketing and communications strategic plan, budget, and calendars. - Creates, maintains and communicates all VALLEYLIFE marketing and communication policies and procedures. - Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the VALLEYLIFE’s marketing collateral and publications process. - Supports all VALLEYLIFE departments in the marketing of programs and services. - Serves as resource and provides support in the crafting of internal and external communications. - Provides communication training to all levels of staff. - Serves as agency photographer, or coordinates external photography services, for company and community events. Manages VALLEYLIFE photo catalog. - Serves as campus event coordinator. - Provides oversight and support in the planning of Member, Staff, and community/public relations (non-fundraising) focused events on the VALLEYLIFE campus or at other community locations. - Serves as outreach representative with external partners and outside vendors (e.g. printers and community groups) - Serves as agency liaison with all media outlets. - Creates and edits all VALLEYLIFE publications and communications, including but not limited to, fact sheets, press releases, presentations, newsletter, annual reports, elevator speeches, and other articles and reports. - Creates and edits all VALLEYLIFE marketing collateral, including but not limited to, brochures, flyers, posters, banners and signs, invitations and advertisements. - Responsible for coordinating and producing content for Web site, blogs, and social media networks. Oversees all website design changes either completed internally, or in partnership with external partners, in conjunction with Information Technology Manager. - Oversees and reviews all communication related materials to be delivered to VALLEYLIFE community (including staff, donors, vendors, parent/guardians, partner agencies and media) to ensure VALLEYLIFE messaging is consistent. - Edits, approves, and orders all materials to be printed by Williams Express Document & Print Services or other external print vendors. - Orders and disseminates all VALLEYLIFE promotional items including the anniversary shirt program, apparel and accessories, and give-away items. - Manages the VALLEYLIFE online store.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** - Excellent communication and public speaking skills. - Highly organized with ability to set priorities. - Skilled at multi-tasking and time management. - Ability to manage budgets and cost control. - Team player with ability to work closely with staff at all levels. - Ability to act professionally in dealing with all levels of staff and the public. - Ability to promote the mission of VALLEYLIFE. - Photography experience. **Qualifications:** - Undergraduate degree from an institute of higher learning in communications, English, journalism, marketing, or related field with two years of progressively responsible experience in publications, public relations, advertising, marketing, or communications preferred. - Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated professional demeanor are a must. - Experience working for a non-profit organization is desired as is subject knowledge of one or more of the following areas: individuals with disabilities, human services, sociology, psychology, or social work.
