Summary
Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS), a business unit of UTC Aerospace Systems, provides cutting-edge sensors and sensor-based systems for the commercial aerospace, ground vehicle and defense industries including electronic flight bags, air data systems, ice detection and protection systems, fire protection systems, fuel measurement and management systems, guidance navigation and control systems, health and usage management systems, rescue hoists, mission data recorders, and sensing suites for aircraft engines. SIS is headquartered in Burnsville, MN and has 4 reporting segments.
Responsibilities
Assume primary responsibility for program leadership, business case management, commitment to program success, and building solid business relationships. Successfully manage programs within program scope, schedule and budget while being a recognized leader in analyzing risk and establishing associated contingencies. Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas inside and outside the organization to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities. Coordinate management and technical decisions while effectively arbitrating and resolving problems associated with both new and existing products and projects. Assist in development of internal strategic plans. Interprets, executes, and manages company-wide division/unit- wide modifications to policies and procedures. Utilizes plans of action to ensure conformance to organization’s goal and initiatives and ensures timely completion.

- Support Business Development pursuits by leading the development of new program cost, schedule, and technical baselines - Establish program deliverables - Define program objectives - Identify risks and obstacles, quantify impacts, ensure mitigations and contingency plans are executed - Develop program operating plans - Lead the program team - Lead customer formal program interaction i.e. reviews, readiness etc. - Monitor, control, and report program progress - Identify and control scope changes - Escalate risk and issues for resolution as appropriate - Track program deliverables and ensure timely completion - Manage program closure activities
