Manager, Software Development

Ideal candidate should have experience in software development and be able to provide both technical and strategic leadership. We are looking for a person with proven technical skills and a thorough understanding of the agile development process. As a Manager you will also fill the role of a Scrum Master for the team to facilitate and be responsible for bringing the team together to deliver.

* Work with the Director and Product Owner to plan releases. * Build a good understanding of our products, customer base and their needs and work with the Product Owner to help manage customer expectations and queries. * Work with the customer support team to triage on issues reported and ensure that customers get a prompt response. * Bring a culture of continuous improvement. * Identify and design training to suit the upskilling need for employees * Provide leadership and mentoring to team on technical skills, process and tools * Work in collaboration with other teams across the organization in developing solutions and/or to support each other as necessary. * Drive Scrum values and practices. * Develop understanding of the overall application delivery lifecycle and activities, including concepts around cloud and devops. * Promote and participate in the continuous improvement of the team, processes, tooling to enable the teams to deliver value quickly. * Build a high performance team; hire and retain the right talent in the right roles; sets goals, delegates work, develop and empower direct reports to make decisions and take action. * Demonstrate company's values, maintaining a positive open demeanor, encouraging different points of view, moving team forward through change. * Identify, create, and foster business relationships across departments and functions.

* 3+ years od experience in the role of a scrum master or agile project manager role. * 4+ years of experience managing software development teams or acting in a technical leadership position * 7+ years of experience in a technical role for software development * Cloud development and deployment experience is highly desirable * Experience with measuring various agile metrics and driving a continuous improvement culture. * Experience leading process improvement initiatives * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Results oriented with focus on operational excellence and execution * Energy and excitement to learn * Results-oriented with relentless focus on operational excellence and execution * Experience in operational cooperation and integration with other company business units * Highly motivated self-starter with advanced capability to quickly learn, and work with new technologies and complex technical environmentsDesired Skills/Knowledge/Experience: * Experience with Amazon Web Services, Cloud Architecture, Service Models, PaaS, IaaS. * Experience with continuous integration and deployment. * Experience utilizing Jira. * Experience managing distributed agile teams utilizing leading edge communications tools including video conferencing
