Help Desk Technician

The Help Desk Technician will assist in maintaining the user desktop computing infrastructure throughout the company to provide a reliable and responsive desktop environment. The position will assist users with computer issues, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. This includes helping with upgrades to users’ desktop and providing a flawless work experience and access for internal users either remotely or in the office. The position interfaces with all internal company personnel.

• Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
• Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
• Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
• Assist with onboarding of new users
• Ensure each workstation is adequate for team members to job duties
• Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
• Escalate complex issues to the Service Desk for further action
• PC Imaging refresh and builds
• Updating and keeping PC inventory

• Knowledge of desktop virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of networking and the use of TCP/IP protocols
• Knowledge of Microsoft desktop technologies including experience with Windows Server and Windows 8 or later
• Experience with Microsoft Office 2013 or later – Office 365 a plus
